Job Overview

Established in 1993, the Marketplace mission began simply: to provide quality, heart-and-soul prepared food for people to share at home. We are the original farm-to-table food business in the Berkshires. Now, we offer two cafés, a restaurant, a pub, high-end catering, and specialty prepared foods. We are currently hiring a Director of Marketing who will help us continue to grow and share the “best kept secret in the Berkshires.”

Responsibilities of our Marketing Guru

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns across several different platforms including social media outlets, email marketing and digital advertising
  • Develop and implement a paid-and-organic social media strategy across several platforms—including Instagram, Facebook, Yelp. Monitor the success of those platforms and make ongoing (daily) adjustments to content as needed for SEO and outreach
  • Create marketing progress reports to share with owners using Google Analytics and other data collection tools
  • Develop, implement, and refine email marketing campaigns adjusting content based on positive response, grow email contact list utilizing calls to action
  • Develop and implement advertising campaigns with local media and Google Ads
  • Regular website check-ups for necessary content changes

Qualifications for Director of Marketing

  • Applicable experience (preferably 3+ years)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Customer-centrist attitude
  • Native knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Photography and video skills (preferably food)
  • Content creation experience for radio, social media, email, and other media outlets
  • Results-driven
